I had this idea floating around in my head that it would take a whole lot to make chicken broth…

How to Make Chicken Broth in Your Ninja Foodi
I do things a tad bit different than some folks might when it comes to making broth in the Ninja Foodi.
I will pressure cook the chicken bones first and then I’ll slow cook it the rest of the time.
This can help to cut the cooking time down and gives a rich flavor to the broth.
One recent batch of broth left me crying due to my own fault. See, I had left my jarred broth on the counter overnight. 😭
Talk about a huge letdown! It was some really good broth too.
Why Should You Make Chicken Broth?
Making your chicken broth at home over buying broth is a huge money saver and you will know the quality amazing.
And, if you’re sensitive to certain things or allergic to items you can make sure that what you put in the broth is good for you and won’t trigger anything.
On top of that, you can add fresh herbs to the broth and make it a “healing” sort of broth.
Are your kids showing signs of a cold or have the sniffles? Drop some oregano and maybe some rosemary in the broth to help with fighting that cold.

If you’re already buying whole chicken or bone-in chicken then saving the bones to make chicken broth should be a no-brainer.
You can roast a whole chicken, pick off the meat, store the bones in the freezer for a big batch or use immediately to make broth.

Ninja Foodi Chicken Broth
- Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Air Fryer, Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker
- 1 whole chicken carcass
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- water to cover bones
- Optional: 2-3 cups veggie scraps
- Put all ingredients in the Ninja Foodi and add enough water to cover the bones completely.
- Secure the pressure cooking lid on the pot and press the pressure cooking setting. Put the pot on High for 30 minutes and press start.
- Once the 30 minutes is up, do a quick-release on the pressure and immediately turn it on the slow cooker setting for at least 12 hours on low heat.
- After 12 hours (up to 24 hours) in the slow cooker, remove all the bones from the broth and strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer or some cheesecloth.
- Fill mason jars with strained broth and store in the fridge for immediate use or in the freezer to keep longer.
